For programs, softwares and virtual environments, please note that our Lab offer no support services for the installation, use or problem solving. Do not send us any email expecting to receive answers for those type of questions. We are not a private company of a profit organization, but a group of researchers who shares to the community what he develops so we do not have anybody to answer this resquests. VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS (CREATED FOR THE LAB'S RESEARCHES):

You may subscribe to the lab's mailing list to ensure you get informed about updates and announcements, thanks!

Environments created with Max Payne™ (2001) game engine
Since the beginning, the game engine Max Payne™ has been the best, visually and technically. We used it after using Unreal Tournament™ and Half-Life™. The lab now create it's very own virtual environments using the software Virtools .

Phobia of spiders v.2, Height phobia v.2 are the 2 env. included in this package. Almost all menu and graphics has been replaced with the lab's and the research's theme.

The spider environment contains 3 level of difficulty (anxiety), using different sizes and number of spiders by level.

The fear of heights environment contains 2 major levels, one is the inside of a cafeteria (3 levels), the next one is outside a multi-level buildings (15 floors). You climb using elevators, you may fall down using gravity.

Note: These virtual worlds requires the installation of the Max Payne PC Game Gathering of Developers™ (originally from Remedy™). You may still be able to get a copy of the game using this link.

Environments created with Unreal Tournament™ (2000) game engine
Unreal was the second game engine used. Visually good, but a lack of components and tools regarding the possibilities about creating virtual animals or insects. The game was made to be played in multiuser networks, there is no story line template to exploit, so we used it to create "environmental situations".

Height phobia v.1, Enclosed space phobia v.1 are the 2 env. included in this package.

The major part of the work has been to removes weapons of warp-zones from the "levels" that was useful for the research.

The enclosed space phobia has been made "from scratch".

Note: This virtual world requires the installation of the Unreal Tournament – Game of the Year 2000™ PC game. You may still be able to get a copy of the game using this link

Environment created with Half-Life™ (2000) game engine
Half-Life™ has been the first game engine used. Graphicaly and technicaly Half-Life™ was good to start with. The ingame "story mode" used "monsters and animals" that we can borrow the propreties to create our own spider species.

Phobia of spiders v.1, was originally using a starting point immitating the room in the lab's basement were you were starting in reality, but as soon as you were living the room you were find yourself in some kind of semi-futuristic lab, with many rooms and different types of spiders.

Spiders have different shapes and sizes, you can step on the smaller ones with your "feet".

Note: This virtual world requires the installation of the Half-Life "Planinum Collection Second Edition" de Valve™ PC game. You may still be able to get a copy of the game using this link
